The Fine Arts Trilogy

Joyce, Stravinsky, and Picasso

By Eric Miller

Joyce was a master in the art of writing by creating Ulysses. Stravinsky was a master in the art of composing by creating Rite Of Spring. Picasso was a artist right from the start by completing the one month qualifying exam for the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona in one day when he was 14!

This year in Fine Arts class, we were supposed to write about a certain trilogy of people. My Trilogy was James Joyce, Igor Stravinsky, and Pablo Picasso. I decided to put mine on the Internet. There are two things that I currently know of as why they were together. All three were contemporaries, Stravinsky and Joyce being born in 1882, Picasso being born in 1881. Another is that one piece of work of theirs was disliked at the time. Click on the pictures or the names to read about the three 20th century greats.
