Lady of the Knife is a fantasy romance set in the "long ago and far away" Kingdom of Alanadon. The primary law governing land ownership is the "Bloodline" child law -- to keep an estate the owner must have a legitimate heir and Lady Evelyn of Silavale needs such a child.
